Mrs. Reed and Mrs. Bauman prayed for a church in the Pine Creek Valley for many years. In April, 1931, there were several families meeting in homes. In the summer of 1932, the first Vacation Bible School was held. After meeting in homes and various other buildings, the little log church building was dedicated on April 18, 1933. Traveling and missionary pastors held services until the first resident pastor began serving in 1939.
We are now a family of believers of all ages, growing in the knowledge of God. We have been blessed to be used by God to share the Gospel here in our community, and to the farthest reaches of this Earth. We feel it is of the utmost importance to share God’s Word with those who have never heard. Over the years we have sent members to remote locations in Brazil, Mexico, Indonesia, Africa, Colombia, Peru and Haiti, to name a few. While there, they learn local languages and culture and build relationships with the local people. The final goal is to establish a growing body of believers, and provide them with God’s Word, translated in their own language. We are in constant communication with our missionaries so we can pray and help provide for their needs.
Our community is also very important to us. Recently we have added some new programs and events to be more involved in the lives of our friends and neighbors. Visit our outreach page for more information and to find out how you can get involved.
